The Second Classes have been busy learning about Brazil this month.
We have learned lots of facts about the capital, languages spoken, climate, animals, food, landmarks, carnival, samba, art and famous football players.
We concluded our work on Brazil with a school visit from a real person from Brazil! Ms. Lynch's friend, Gilmar who is a teacher in Dublin, told us about his childhood in Brazil and taught us some fun facts. Did you know that Ireland would fit into Brazil 121 times and that 'cara' as Gaeilge is also a slang term for friend in Portuguese?! Gilmar also answered our many questions!
